Rock Our Vets

Along with our partners, we are helping veterans and senior citizens get their homes ready for winter – at no cost– with the help of volunteers and business sponsors. 

*Veterans or seniors living in the city of Bowling Green or within the BG City Schools District are eligible to apply.

    • Attic and Wall Insulation 

    • Weather stripping doors and windows 

    • Furnace and HVAC checkups 

    • Caulking 

    • Other repairs to improve warmth and efficiency 

    We can also help with exterior projects:

    • Raking leaves 

    • Trimming shrubs 

    • Stair and handrail repair 

    • Powerwashing 

    • Small painting projects 

    • Providing and planting shade trees 

  • It is a free service provided by BGSONG, its partners and business sponsors.

  • Work dates are Oct 24. 25 or 26

Join the Rock Our Vets Project

  • Volunteer

    We welcome individuals, faith groups, service organizations, students, and trade professionals. Volunteers receive needed tools and supplies, lunch, camaraderie, and a volunteer t-shirt.

  • Sponsor

    Be a force for good by sponsoring through financial support, in-kind donations, or services. Sponsors receive logo placement, public recognition, tax-deductible giving, and the goodwill of the community.

  • Donate

    Support local veterans by donating materials, tools, contractor services, gift cards, meals, or funds. Donors will be acknowledged and appreciated for their contributions.
